Toby "Daddy" Smith

Hi I am Toby Smith. I am from  SOUTH IRVING, TX. I am 45 yrs old and the father of 2 wonderful daughters. I started Daddy's BBQ after 15 yrs of insurance adjusting.

I worked for leading companys like Farmers ins. Group, Allstate Ins., Liberty Mutual, and then I did storm work for Pilot cat. Services and Wardlaw Claims Service. To tell the truth the insurance field drained me of all my life force. It really got bad...QUICK! I started out, in that field, getting to help people out of jams. It gave me a good, proud feeling to help families out and get back to their normal lives. Then the young college grad managers came, and thought they would change the world! All they did was screw everything up. So since they screwed it up for us all. I decided to do what I love. COOK BABY! That is why I started "DADDY'S BBQ". My mission is to serve good quality food at a reasonable price. That tastes GREAT! Enjoy, and thank you.

When I was 1st Starting Daddy's BBQ. I was talking to my girls and I asked them what should I name the Co. They had all kinds of crazy names. But the one I like the best, that kinda defines Daddy's was. They asked me to name it..."Daddy and his 2 Angels BBQ". I kinda laughed and said. "How about this? We name it Daddy's BBQ and I name a plate after y'all. We will call it "Daddy's little Angels"? They loved it and then it went from there. We named the stuffed red bell pepper "Daddy's Little Devil" (Hailey) She told me that was "hers"! Then one day I was cooking beans and we came up with "Holy Frijoles". My girls..what a mind they have. So I hope this makes you understand a little more about Daddy's BBQ!
